About this Blog – FAQ

What is this blog?

This is a temporary blog dedicated pretty much entirely to promoting, defending, and debating my book: Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning.

Why have a blog?

Well, because we have blog for everything else around here.

More seriously, I wanted to designate a place where readers of the book and readers of NRO (hopefully two groups with a great deal overlap) could track the debate sparked by the book, and find information about book tour and media appearances. Also, I wanted to provide for readers supplemental materials that I couldn’t include (or link to) in the book. For example, I have posted a bibliographic essay for readers interested in further reading.

Will you respond to all criticism?

Nope. But I will try to respond to as much serious, good-faith criticism as I can --particularly criticisms that I think will be edifying for readers and for me. I don’t plan to respond to every goofy, juvenile, or vicious attack, and in particular, I don’t intend to respond to attacks by people who haven't read the book.

Does this mean you won't blog in the Corner?

Nope.

Does this mean you won't blog in the Corner about your book?

Nope. But there will be much less about the book on the Corner because of this blog.

How often will you update it?

As the spirit moves me, and as the events warrant.

Will it be all fascism all the time?

Oh, probably not. I have a secret fantasy that this might get grow into a Greg Gutfeldian return of the old Goldberg File. But who knows.
